Examination Fee

  • Gen/EWS/OBC: ₹200/- + Online Processing Fee ₹25/- (Total= ₹225/-)
  • SC/ST/Ex-Service Man: ₹80/- + Online Processing Fee ₹25/- (Total= ₹105/-)
  • Divyangs (Handicapped): ₹0/- + Online Processing Fee ₹25/- (Total= ₹25/-)

Educational Qualification

Candidates can check the required educational qualification for UPPSC AE 2020 from below:

1 Assistant Engineer (Civil/Mechanical)(Irrigation department):
  • Essential: Candidate must have the civil or mechanical engineering degree from a recognized university or institution or should be a qualified Associate Member of the Institute of Engineer in the following branch – civil engineering or mechanical engineering.
  • Preferential: Candidates who have served a minimum 2 years of period in the Territorial Army or must have completed one-year training or must have obtained a “B” certificate of N.C.C.
2 Assistant Engineer (Agriculture/Civil/ Mechanical) (Minor Irrigation department):
  • Essential: Candidate should have a bachelor degree in the following fields – agriculture/ civil/ mechanical from a recognized university or institution or passed Associate Member Examination in civil or mechanical engineering.
  • Preferential: Candidates who have served a minimum 2 years of period in the Territorial Army or must have obtained a “B” certificate of N.C.C.
3 Assistant Engineer (Civil) (Rural Engineering Department):
  • Essential: Candidates should have a bachelor degree in civil engineering from a recognized university or institution or passed the Associate Member Examination in civil engineering.
  • Preferential: Candidates who have served a minimum 2 years of period in the Territorial Army or must have obtained a “B” certificate of N.C.C.
4 Assistant Engineer (Civil) (Public Works Department (P.W.D.) and Mandi Parishad):
  • Essential: Candidates must have passed a bachelor degree from a university established by law in India or recognized by government.
  • Preferential: Candidates who have served a minimum 2 years of period in the Territorial Army or must have completed one-year training or must have obtained a “B” certificate of N.C.C.
5 Assistant Engineer (Electrical/ Mechanical) (Public Works Department (P.W.D) and Mandi Parishad):
  • Essential: Candidates must have passed a bachelor degree in electrial or mechanical engineering from a recognized university or university established by law in India or passed Associate examination from Imperial College of Science and Technology South, Kesingston in electrial and mechanical engineering or passed section A and B in electrial or mechanicl engineering of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers/ Institutions of Engineers.
  • Preferential: Candidates who have served a minimum 2 years of period in the Territorial Army or must have obtained a “B” certificate of N.C.C or equivalent to that.
6 Assistant Engineer (Housing and Urban Planning Department):
  • Essential: Candidates must possess a degree in civil engineering from a recognized university.
  • Preferential: Candidates who have served a minimum 2 years of period in the Territorial Army or must have obtained a “B” certificate of N.C.C or equivalent to that.
7 Assistant Engineer (Electrical/ Mechanical):
  • Essential: Candidates must possess a degree in electrical or mechanical engineering from a recognized university.
  • Preferential: Candidates who have served a minimum 2 years of period in the Territorial Army or must have obtained a “B” certificate of N.C.C.
8 Assistant Engineer (Civil) (Nagar Vikas Vibhag):
  • Essential: Candidate must have passed sections ‘A’ and ‘B’ of the associateship examination or passed a degree in civil engineering from a recognized university or diploma of Institutions of Engineers.
  • Preferential: Candidate who has served minimum 2 years in the Territorial Army or obtained a “B” certificate of N.C.C.
9 Assistant Engineer (Electrical/ Mechanical) (Nagar Vikas Vibhag):
  • Essential: Candidate must possessed a degree in electrical or mechanical engineering from a recognized university accredited by Institutions of Engineers or passed sections ‘A’ and ‘B’ of the associateship examination in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • Preferential: Candidates who have served minimum 2 years in the Territorial Army or obtained a “B” certificate of N.C.C.
10 Assistant Engineer (Water)/’B’ Category Jalkal Engineer (Nagar Vikas Vibhag):
  • Essential: Candidate should have a degree in electrical or mechanical engineering from a recognized university accredited by Institutions of Engineersor passed sections ‘A’ and ‘B’ of the associateship examination in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • Preferential: Candidates who have served minimum 2 years in the Territorial Army or obtained a “B” certificate of N.C.C.
11 Assistant Engineer (Civil) (Medical Department):
  • Essential: Candidates must have a bachelor degree in civil engineering from a recognized university or established by law or its equivalent to that.
  • Preferential: Candidates who have served minimum 2 years in the Territorial Army or obtained a “B” certificate of N.C.C. At the time of direct requirement, andidates who are a trainee on Assistant Engineer (Civil) post will get more preference.
12 Engineer (Panchayati Raj Department):
  • Essential: Candidate must possess a bachelor degree in civil engineering from a recognized university or established by law.
  • Preferential: Candidates who have served minimum 2 years in the Territorial Army or obtained a “B” certificate of N.C.C.
13 U.P Agriculture Service Group “B” (Engineering Branch) (AgricultureDepartment):
  • Essential: Candidate must possess a bachelor degree in agriculture engineering from a recognized university or established by law.
  • Preferential: Candidate must possess a post graduate degree in agriculture engineering from a recognized university or established by law or who have served minimum 2 years in the Territorial Army or obtained a “B” certificate of N.C.C.
14 Bhoomi Sanrakshan Adhikari/Technical Officer (Irrigation and Water Resources department):
  • Essential: Candidate must possess a bachelor degree in agriculture or civil engineering from a recognized university or established by law.
  • Preferential: Candidates who have served minimum 2 years in the Territorial Army or obtained a “B” certificate of N.C.C and must have a diploma in soil conservation and water management.
15 Assistant Director, Electrical Security (Energy department):
  • Essential: Candidate must have a bachelor degree in electrical engineering from a university established by law or must be an associate member of the Institution of Engineers in electrical engineering.
  • Preferential: Candidates who have served minimum 2 years in the Territorial Army or obtained a “B” certificate of N.C.C.
16 Assistant Director (Factories) (Labour department): Candidates must have passed 12th examination from the Board of High School and Intermediate Examination or an examination recognized by the government or equivalent to that. A candidate must possess a degree in Engineering or Technology in one of the following branches – Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Chemical/ Industrial Engineering from a recognized university or a university established by law.
17 Assistant Director (Boilers) (Labour department): Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from a recognized university or university established by law or equivalent to that. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of practical training in construction design, operation or maintenance of boilers.
